Third International Workshop on Ad Hoc, Sensor and P2P Networks (AHSP2009)
Third International Workshop on Ad Hoc, Sensor and P2P Networks (AHSP2009)
Call for Papers
Scope of the conference
Since ad hoc networks, sensor networks, and P2P networks typically consist of equal nodes without any central control, these networks are important applications of autonomous decentralized systems. In mobile ad hoc networks, there are many issues not only on the traditional wireless communications including bandwidth management, power control, etc., but also on new research issues as an autonomous decentralized system, including network configuration and topology management, ad hoc addressing, self-routing, etc. As examples of ad hoc networks, sensor networks and P2P networks are also encountered similar research issues caused by lack of central control. In sensor networks, information flows are more likely to be transmitted in a many-to-one manner over multi-hop air links and individual nodes are constrained by their batteries, which lead to new research challenges, such as location management, routing, QoS management, etc. In addition, P2P network topologies and traffic patterns have high variability and diversity, which requires new QoS/topology management for P2P computing systems. The objective of this Workshop is to discuss new approaches and technologies in the field of ad hoc networks, sensor networks, and P2P networks through papers. Suggested topics include but are not limited to the followings:
• Network configuration and topology management
• Power management
• Bandwidth optimization
• Routing
• Addressing
• Broadcasting / multicasting
• Location management
• Caching / prefetching
• Performance evaluation
• QoS management
with respect to ad hoc networks, sensor networks, P2P networks.
